Race ace Josh Webster is determined not to be overawed by his GP3 Series debut and gain an immediate advantage on his rivals this weekend.
The speedster, from Mickfield, near Stowmarket, joins the Formula One (F1) race card in Barcelona for his first GP3 event.
Although he is expecting it to be a huge step-up from the Formula Renault BARC Championship, Webster wants to adapt more quickly than his fellow rookies in his bid to impress.
“The main thing I’m looking forward to is going out to race in these awesome cars, but alongside that you have all the press coverage and the thousands of people there,” said the Nine Group-sponsored driver, who has just become an ambassador for the Muscle Help Foundation. “But I have to focus on my job, do the best I can and see where we are after the weekend.”
Webster is looking forward to finding out the comparison to his Status Grand Prix teammates and the other drivers on the grid.
