Mildenhall of Fame is launched

Mildenhall Cricket Club continued their build-up to the forthcoming cricket season with a pre-season fundraising dinner, during which they launched and inducted six people into their new hall of fame.

Dubbed the Mildenhall of Fame, Bill Abbs, Mike Kill, Mike Clarke, Rick Handy, Kevin Boardman and Andy Squire became the first to join and a display of plaques for the inducted was unveiled.

The club plans to make 
this an annual event and 
add new names every year.

All groups of players — juniors, seniors and ladies — are regularly practicing in the nets and anyone wishing to join the club can contact membership secretary Andy Francis via andrew.francis@eleveden.com.

n The Wamil Way Club have also announced that wicketkeeper Karl Holmes will captain the first side in Division One of the Marshall Hatchick Two Counties League this season.

n Exning Cricket Club will be holding adult pre-season net sessions at Newmarket Leisure Centre from 7.30-9pm every Friday throughout March.

The club is actively recruiting new members for the forthcoming season and players of all standards are invited to attend.

n Fordham Cricket Club require junior cricketers in age groups between under 10 and under 15 for the forthcoming season.
