Willows look to end winless run tonight

Walsham-le-Willows will be looking to end their recent winless run when they host Ipswich Wanderers in a crucial clash at Summer Road tonight (7.45pm).

The Willows are just five points above the bottom three in the Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division table, with Paul Smith’s side having taken only one point from their last four games.

A 7-0 thrashing by promotion chasers Stanway Rovers at the weekend has left Walsham looking over their shoulder again, with a daunting visit from champions-elect Norwich United set for next Wednesday (7.45pm).

n Thetford Town are aiming to give their own survival hopes a boost when they visit FC Clacton tomorrow (3pm).

Danny White’s men enjoyed a pleasing 4-0 win over Gorleston on Friday night, which saw Joseph Allen, Shane Leech, Robbie Priddle and Ian Fawcett all score.

The Brecklanders then slumped to a disappointing 1-0 defeat at relegation rivals Fakenham Town on Tuesday.

n In the First Division, Stowmarket Town will be hoping to continue their recent good run when they visit Halstead Town tomorrow (3pm).

Stow thrashed Dereham Town Reserves 7-0 on Saturday, and are set to visit Needham Market Reserves on Wednesday (7.45pm).
