Dan Hitching struck a late winner as a much-improved Bury Town returned to winning ways at Ram Meadow in the Ryman League Premier Division on Saturday.
Lee Reed’s opener after 69 seconds had been cancelled out by opponents Lewes on the hour-mark before Hitching hooked in from close range late on.
Meanwhile, Kieran Leabon, Ollie Fenn and Danny Bloomfield were on target as Needham Market won 3-1 at Cheshunt in Ryman One North.
In the npower Championship, Ipswich Town defeated Burnley 2-1 thanks to DJ Campbell’s late winner.
Daryl Murphy’s opener had been cancelled out by Sam Vokes.
In the Barclays Premier League, Norwich City drew 0-0 with Reading.
