Returning midfielder Craig Parker bagged the Blues’ third on his return to the west Suffolk outfit as Richard Wilkins’ men remained 10th in the Ryman League Premier Division.

In Ryman One North, Needham Market’s match at Brentwood Town was postponed, while Walsham-le-Willows came from behind to earn a crucial 3-2 victory at Kirkley and Pakefield in the Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division.

Mildenhall Town also capitalised on former leaders Dereham Town’s slip-up at Godmanchester Rovers, where they lost 1-0, but Hall could only take a point away from Gorleston, with ex-Bury striker Allicion Blake bagging their goal.

Thetford Town lost 1-0 to Felixstowe and Walton United, while Team Bury were beaten 2-1 by leaders Newmarket Town in the First Division.

Bury rugby’s winning streak in London One North withstood a stern examination at Brentwood as Gavin Hogg’s side edged out the Essex team 17-11.

In London Two North East, Stowmarket lost 66-0 to North Walsham, while Thurston remained rock bottom of Greene King IPA Eastern Counties League Division One with a 38-7 loss to Mersea Island.

In Eastern Counties Two, Mildenhall and Red Lodge Eagles - who had not recorded a victory all season until last weekend - made it two wins on the bounce by seeing off Thetford 18-15.
