Unstoppable Bury extend perfect form
Bury St Edmunds’ unstoppable form in London One North continued on Saturday with an impressive 22-8 victory away at second placed Eton Manor.
A late period of dominance proved decisive for Gavin Hogg’s side, who battled their way to a ninth consecutive bonus point win, to open up a 10 point lead at the top of the division.
Elsewhere, Bury Town’s proposed Ryman League Premier Division with Leiston has been postponed due to their opponents involvement in the FA Trophy.
Meanwhile, Needham Market’s improving form was brought to an abrupt end on Saturday as the Marketmen slumped to a 3-1 defeat to Maldon and Tiptree United at Bloomfields.
In a frantic opening period, James Robinson broke the deadlock after just three minutes, before Kieran Leabon levelled four minutes later.
However, they weren’t level long as Jamie Guy restored their visitors advantage immediately, before Jonathan Glowacki extended the lead further in the 36th minute to secure all three points.
