@connorhall7 (ex-Bury Town player and West Suffolk College graduate Connor Hall): “Sad day for @BuryTownFC losing in my eyes the best manager I have worked with.
“Been a massive influence on my career so far and gave me my opportunity in the first team.
“Would like to wish him and the club @BuryTownFC all the best in the future.”
@stewy_08 (Former Bury midfielder Michael Steward): “Nothing ever lasts forever but Wilks should be congratulated on a terrific tenure at the club. #Bigbootstofill”
@iainbentley84: “He obviously loved the club and should be commended for his efforts, but change can also be a good thing.”
@RobinRGlover: “Perhaps Lowestoft are lining up to raid the club for a player or two and he knows he can’t stop that.”
@BlueBuzzards: “Shocked is the only way I can describe how I feel. Wilko has been the best thing that happened to @burytownfc #bestyearsasafan”
@JCrouch16: “I think he’d taken them as far as he could. With a small budget someone with fresh ideas could be the way forward.”
@BuryBuh: “No doubt that Wilkins has been great but considering the financial position its a good time for a change in thinking.”
