MILDENHALL Fen Tigers have booked their place in the National League final after an impressive semi-final victory over the Stoke Potters.
The Tigers became the first travelling side to win at Loomer Road this year with a 46-44 success on Saturday night and wrapped up their place in the final with a 51-40 success at West Row the following day, despite a less-than-convincing display.
Meanwhile Bury Town and Needham Market enjoyed a less successful weekend as both sides crashed out of the FA Cup in the second qualifying round.
Town suffered a cup upset on their travels to Ryman League Division One North side Redbridge, going down 1-0 in a disappointing display, whilst The Marketmen were comprehensively dumped out of the competition, losing 3-0 to Nuneaton Town at Bloomfields.
Over in Rugby Union, Bury made it three wins from three on the road in London League North One and claimed a bonus point with a 32-22 victory over previously unbeaten Letchworth.
