Finborough School’s young sports stars have been chalking up successes on the rugby and football pitch in recent weeks.
The school is proving to be a hotbed of talent, with its under-9s rugby team winning the Barnardiston Hall School under-9 rugby tournament last week.
The Finborough side beat a strong Littlegarth team in the final by a score of 20-5, with Finborough’s Theo Kenny named player of the tournament.
The school’s under-11 football tournament attracted 16 teams from across the area.
Finborough headteacher Huw James said parents, coaches and supporters enjoyed the day.
He said: “A few matches were a little one-sided, but in general, teams enjoyed themselves and suffered close wins and losses.”
Five matches went to penalty shootouts, with the Finborough A team losing three times.
The winners were Ipswich School, who beat Holmwood House in the final.
