A young volunteers from Suffolk has been selected to attend a national camp at St George’s Park.
James Price will attend the four-day camp at the home of English football at Burton upon Trent between July 21 and 24.
The Football Futures programme aims to recruit, retain, develop, reward and provide a progressive pathway for young leaders in order to develop a skilled football workforce.
Price will attend tutorials and workshops based on coaching, refereeing and running events, which will be delivered by people at the top of the national game.
Price, who is 17 and lives in Newmarket, is a member of Sporting 87, based in Bury St Edmunds.
He has been on the Football Futures programme for three years and won the Young Community Volunteer of the Year award at last November’s Suffolk Sports Awards.
Price said: “I am looking forward to being surrounded by people with the same interests as me and meeting great footballing mentors at England’s training ground and staying in the Hilton.”
