Postponements aplenty as cold snap continues

THE WINTERY cold snap continued over the weekend, claiming more sporting casualties with a large number of postponements.

Bury Town’s proposed Ryman League Premier Division encounter against Wingate and Finchley was postponed due to a frozen pitch, as was Needham Market’s trip to Grays Athletic in Ryman League Division One North.

The rugby also failed to escape the conditions as Bury Saint Edmunds’ match with Old Colfeians at the Haberden was also called off to due to a frozen pitch.
