Bury Town have wasted no time in securing their first signing of the summer by swooping for the signature of former England C midfielder Dave Bridges.
In a statement on the Blues’ website, the club described the move as the first stage in their rebuilding programme to form a squad capable of challenging for the Ryman League Premier Division title next term.
Bridges was part of the Stevenage Borough squad that gained promotion to the Football League and was most recently at Chelmsford City.
Speaking to www.burytownfc.co.uk he said: “I’m good friends with Adam Tann and Craig Parker and they couldn’t say enough good things about the club.
“They told me that the players are really well looked after and the club is full of good honest people.”
He added: “It’s great to be on board at an ambitious club and there’s no reason why we can’t get promoted automatically and I will use all of my experience to make sure this message is believed by all of my new teammates.”
Bridges’ signing comes following the release of Sam Nunn and Elliot Hunter.
