NEEDHAM Market have had their play-off semi-final with Tilbury called off for a third time today (Thursday) with officials re-scheduling it for Friday night (7.45pm).
Tilbury chairman Robin Nash said only a few square feet were now holding the Chadfields pitch back from being deemed playable after it failed an 11am inspection by the referee.
But he is very hopeful the play-off semi-final with Danny Laws’ Needham Market will finally get played on Friday evening, with the final itself still scheduled for Sunday.
“It is off again today,” he told the Bury Free Press. “Hopefully we can get it on tomorrow.
“The referee inspected it at 11am and we are not far away today and the weather looks promising but there is still a couple of square feet that is a problem.”
