Needham Market have completed the signing of highly-rated striker Ollie Mann from Brantham Athletic.
The 25-year-old goes straight into the Marketmen’s squad for the trip to Farnborough on Saturday (3pm), and the Needham boss Mark Morsley is confident he will be a hit at Bloomfields.
“I know a lot about the lad as I signed him when I was at Leiston four years ago,” Morsley said.
“He’s been playing week in and week out for Brantham this season and has been scoring goals, and now he feels it is the right time to push on again.”
Mann attracted attention from a host of Football League clubs, including the likes of Ipswich Town and Dagenham and Redbridge, during his first spell with Brantham, before signing for Morsley’s Leiston in 2012.
A recurring knee injury restricted the striker’s appearances in the Ryman League Premier Division, but the former Colchester United Academy schoolboy will now get the chance to prove himself at step three after completing a move to the Marketmen.
