Needham Market have been rewarded for overcoming Cambridge City with a home-tie in the second qualifying round of the FA Cup against lower league London Tigers.

A brace from Sam Newson and further goals from Ryan Crisp and substitute Ace Howell saw the Marketmen finally overcome City, 4-2, having seen their two-goal advantage pegged back by their Southern League Premier Division opponents.

And having come through that challenging tie, Mark Morsley’s side have been handed a winnable encounter, which could see them scoop a £4,500 windfall and take a step closer to a possible place in the first round proper.
