Bury Town manager Ben Chenery is hopeful of being able to bring midfielder Jordan Patrick back to the club.

The Blues head into tomorrow’s Ryman League Premier Division encounter away at AFC Honchurch (3pm) on the back of a six-match losing streak in all competitions after Tueday night’s 2-1 Isthmian League Cup first round exit at rivals AFC Sudbury.

And although the manager has to work within a tight budget, he remains hopeful of luring Patrick back to Ram Meadow.

“I’d like Jordan to come back to the club but we have a budget I have to work within and it is as simple as that,” said Chenery, whose side travel to Leiston for a Suffolk FA Premier Cup first round tie on Tuesday (7.45pm).

“If that is enough then that is enough and that is all I can really say at the moment.

“I’m working hard on making things happen all the time to make it work and hopefully we can do something.”

Ahead of the encounters, the Blues boss could be boosted by the possible returns of Luke Hammond and defender Connor Hall but Liam Wales and Justin Miller remain doubtful.
