Gym United are the Plastic Trade Frames Bury and District Sunday League’s sole survivors in the Suffolk Sunday Cup, writes Ian Friend.

Three teams entered the quarter-final stage, but only one reached the semi-finals as Howards and Tostock crashed out.

Wayne Proctor (two), Andrew Wood, Craig Skipp and Aaron Cobbold scored in Gym’s 5-2 victory over Juggernauts.

Metro Inn went out of
the Suffolk Sunday Trophy, but Liberty overcame league rivals Horringer Social Club 3-1 and CFC Bury dispatched Worlingworth 4-3 after
extra-time thanks to goals from Luke Spivey (two),
Ash Hayhoe and Ryan Shepherd.

There were plenty of sides in league action, with Division Two leaders Chedburgh going down 2-1 at Labas.

Three league points were also secured by Black Boy and Ixworth in Division Two.

Second-placed FC Gulls closed the gap on the top two in Division Three with a 6-2 success over Lavenham, while Occold and Great Barton were also victorious.

There were wins in Division Four for Moreton Hall and Danepak.
