Crowley at the double to help Brook to third successive win
David Crowley’s brace helped Wickhambrook Under-17s beat Newmarket Town and secure their third win on the trot in our match of the week.
Brook opened the scoring through Crowley and took the game to their opponents in the second period, going two up through skipper Harry Willett.
Newmarket pulled one back, but Wickhambrook would not be denied and Crowley thumped home a header.
Sam Clayton thundered in a volley to complete the double over their rivals.
Brandon Lasses Under-14s took control against Walsham early on with Millie Bales scoring in the first minute and Ellesse Masters adding a second.
Although Brandon dominated, Walsham were hard to break down, but finally Sam Cole added Brandon’s third. Georgia Dargan made it four.
North Walsham managed to get one back, but Brandon responded well with five goals in ten minutes, Bales getting two more and Cole, Masters and Dargan all getting a second before Cole went on to complete her hat-trick.
Bury Town Under-13s took an early lead at Stradbroke through Joe Stanton.
It was short lived as Stradbroke hit back, but Bury started to dominate and Ethan Radford scored twice.
Stradbroke pulled a goal back to give them hope and, as Bury failed to take chances, Stradbroke’s pressure told as they converted chances for a deserved victory.
The younger Moreton Hall Blacks Under-13s dominated their derby clash against the Blue side, converting five goals in each half.
Claiming doubles were Tom Chandler, Aiden Sturgeon and Harrison Milner, with Lewis Tebbit, Will Stobbart, Jack Stone and Kurtis Lebbon also on target.
Brandon Lasses Under-12s beat Norwich City 3-0 in the Knockout Cup with their goals in the victory coming from Tori Orcutt, Jess Horn and Shannon Richardson.
Brandon Lasses Under-11s dominated Stowupland Falcons with goals from Chelsea Page (two), Louise Kennedy (two) and Kyra Kooley.
Special mention to Hannah Rogers for two outstanding saves.
The form book went out of the window as AFC Sudbury Falcons hit eight at Bury Town Dynamos Under-10s and deserved the big scoreline.
Brandon Lads Under-10s beat local rivals Thetford Bulldogs 6-0 away.
Brandon went in front through Ben Rogers before Rogers grabbed his second midway through the first quarter.
The Lads pushed forward and the hosts’ goal was breached a third time when Kenzie West converted a penalty.
West added a fourth, Morgan Elrick made it five and Rogers completed a well-taken hat-trick.
Bury Town Under-10s lost 5-0 at home to Moreton Hall Gunners, who went one up through Marwick.
Foreman made it two and Josh Kelly three before Foreman and Sammy Marwick completed the scoring.
Brandon Lads Under-9s came back from a three-week league fixture break and recorded another convincing win, 7-2 against Swanton Morley.
Brandon got the opening goal through Jack Townsend and then another followed from Bobby Holmes, before Jack Townsend got his second to make it 3-0 at half-time.
At the start of the second half, Charlie Stevenson found the net.
Goals followed from Tom Corke, Zac Grimwood and Kian Tilbrook.
