Bury Town: Help needed

BURY Town are seeking volunteers to help clear the Ram Meadow pitch today (Friday).

A statement on the club’s website said: “We need your help to clear the Ram Meadow pitch of snow ahead of Saturday’s scheduled match with Wingate and Finchley. “The majority of the pitch appears to be soft under the layer of snow, apart from the goalmouth at the clubhouse end of the ground.

“Snow clearing will start from 4pm on Friday, with the floodlights going on if necessary, and if you can help out for any amount of time it would be much appreciated as we make an attempt to get the game on, despite the best efforts of the current weather.

“We have some equipment, but please feel free to bring anything you think may be needed.

“Once again we thank you for your support.”
