Bury Town suffered their third defeat in a row, losing 3-1 against struggling Harrow Borough at Earlsmead Stadium in the Ryman Premier last night.
After a quiet first few minutes the game sprung into life, Luke Ingram unleashing a shot from the edge of the area, only to see it go a few metres wide.
This was a wake-up call for Harrow, how put pressure on Bury’s defence, the result paying dividends for the home side as they took the lead in the 33rd minute when Michael Peacock headed home at the near post from a corner.
Bury started the second half at pace and within two minutes managed to equalise through John Sands’s fierce drive forward.
However, Harrow regained the lead when seven minutes later Harrow broke down the left-hand side, Simeon Akinola finishing off the move from close range.
Bury continued to push forward but rarely looked like breaking through and on 81st minutes Harrow broke, a sharp counter attack by Shaun Lucien saw his cross volleyed into the net by Akinola to claim his second of the match and secure the points for the home side.
