BURY Town crashed out of the FA Trophy to Farnborough after extra time last night, but had enough chances to win the game inside 90 minutes.
The Blues’ John Sands was the main culprit, missing two one-on-ones, but he won a penalty in the additional 30 minutes after Boro had taken the lead.
However, Mark Coulson’s tame effort was saved by visiting custodian Thomas Lovelock and Farnborough progressed to the last 64 of the competition with a second goal in added time at the end of extra-time.
n Meanwhile, Mildenhall Town slipped to a 1-0 defeat at Haverhill Rovers in the Ridgeons League Premier Division.
