A trio of untried youngsters were forced into the action by the 47th minute, with one of them — Isaac Smith — opening the scoring in the first half after replacing the injured Kris Thomas.
However, two goals in the final minute before the break gave Clacton the lead and matters got worse for the visitors when Dan Hitching and Dave Werthmann were forced off, to be replaced by Ben Smith and Aiden Course.
However, with three minutes remaining, David Cooper lofted a pass through and Blake struck the leveller.
