Football: Bury Town 0, Ipswich Town 1

A second half Gareth McAuley header was enough to see off a brave Bury Town at Ram Meadow on Tuesday night.

In front of more than 1,000 spectators, the hosts went close through Chris Henderson twice, Scott Chaplin and Roscoe Hipperson.

However, Roy Keane's men - including Grant Leadbitter, Tamas Priskin and Jon Walters - were always in control of a fast flowing game and deservedly held on for the win.

Full report, reaction, and pictures in the Bury Free Press on Friday.
