Cycling: Victoria Pendleton withdraws from Commonwealth Games

Current Olympic champion Victoria Pendleton has pulled out of competing at the Delhi-based Commonwealth Games in October - in order to prepare better for the European Championships in November.

The Mildenhall Cycling Club gold member won a sprint gold at the Beijing Olympics in 2008.

Pendleton, 29, joins Sir Chris Hoy in deciding to miss the India-based event.
