Karl Fuller is aiming to build on his impressive start to life competing in the Hottrax Motorsport Modern Classic Championships.
The Bury St Edmunds-born racer, who now lives in Stowmarket, took the competition by storm last week at Snetterton by clinching four podium places out of four races from a grid of 32 competitors, in what was only his second ever race meeting.
And after enjoying such a meteoric rise since taking up racing earlier this year, the 24-year-old is hopeful of building on momentum in upcoming events at Oulton Park in September and the Croft Circuit in October.
“I only started motorbike racing this year and so I was surprised to get the four podiums out of the four races, it was only my second ever race meeting,” he said.
“I’ve always been into bikes but I decided earlier this year to give racing a go.
“I had my first meeting in March and I’m delighted with how it’s gone so far.
“I’m really happy with my performances over the weekend, it felt fantastic to get the podiums and come away with trophies to show for mine and the teams efforts.
“I’m confident I have the pace for more good results, I’m going to continue getting the bike more competitive and work hard for my goals.
“I’ve taken to it pretty quickly but this year the plan is just to see how it goes.
“It is only my first year and so I just want to be consistent but with the pace I have shown already I know I can race out at front and compete.
“It is definitely a hobby at the moment but who knows where it might take me. I’ve taken to it well and we’ll just have to wait and see.
“What I need now is a couple of sponsors to help me progress and that is what I’ll be actively seeking.”
