Bury rugby’s Gavin Hogg has stressed the importance of a strong start to halt their run of away-day blues.
The promotion-chasers are already having to play catch-up after losing both of their games away from the Haberden from their opening three National League Three and South East fixtures, with a 28-15 defeat at Amersham and Chiltern on Saturday following a 20-13 reverse at Gravesend.
And director of rugby Hogg said they cannot afford another slow start at Tring tomorrow (3pm).
“We were certainly disappointed at how we managed the first half down at Amersham,” he said. “We are very focused on managing that first 10-15 minutes and getting a foothold in the game.”
Number eight Matt Edison and second row Tim Young are unavailable, but Kieran Black (back) and Shaq Meyers (hamstring) trained this week and hope to be included in the squad.
