Bury look to build on their incredible 2012, starting with Essex trip tomorrow

Bury St Edmunds will be looking to maintain their charge for London One North glory as they return to action with a trip to Romford and Gidea Park tomorrow (2.15pm).

The Haberden outfit will be looking to pick up where they left off last year, having signed off 2012 with an unblemished 2012/13 league record of 14 victories, to sit comfortably top of the table.

That run was maintained with a narrow 18-9 derby day victory over rivals Diss prior to a winter break, adding extra celebrations to Christmas festivities.

Tomorrow’s opponents go into the encounter on the back of consecutive 11-8 defeats, the latest in a difficult trip away at Eton Manor.

And things don’t look set to improve as they will be hopeing to avoid a repeat of the last time the two sides met with Gavin Hogg’s charges, who have won their last 25 in all competitions, running riot to secure a comfortable 83-0 success back in September.
