Awards for sporting stars
NOMINATIONS for the Forest Heath Sports Awards 2012 open on Monday.
Deserving winners are being sought for nine categories including, sports personality of the year, team of the year and the lifetime achievement award.
Warwick Hirst, Forest Heath District Council’s cabinet member for leisure, culture and communities, said: “This is a great opportunity to recognise the breadth of sporting talent in Forest Heath and to recognise those people dedicated to local community sport across the district.”
The awards will be handed out during a ceremony at the council’s offices on December 7.
Nomination forms will be available at leisure centres, or can be downloaded at www.forest-heath.gov.uk/sportsawards
