Elliott Banks-Browne has made his mark in the MX2 World Series, impressing in the third round of the championships.

Competing at the impressive Agueda track in the hills of Portugal, the Bury St Edmunds-based teenager came through a tough test with flying colours.

Banks-Browne, needing to finish in the top 15 for a place in the finals, took his Suzuki Swift RMZ250 to an impressive 11th place on Saturday, to set himself up for the points-chasing races on the following day.

In the two-race finals, he pushed to a 17th and 18th finish to gain a valuable seven world championship points.

"The bike is even better this year and I am growing in confidence. I was pleased with the result," said Banks-Browne.

This weekend, Banks-Browne turns to British Championship action, competing at Lyng, in Norfolk, using the factory RMZ250WS Suzuki vacated following an injury to Frenchman, Pascal Leuret.
