Striker Richard Logan will lead the front line for Exeter City when they bid for promotion at Wembley on Sunday.
The Conference outfit face Cambridge United in the play-off final, with the winner securing League Two status.

Logan, who comes from Bury St Edmunds, started his football career as a trainee with Ipswich Town FC.

Following loan spells with Camb
ridge United, Torquay United and Boston United, the 26-year-old made a permanent move to The Pilgrims in 2003-04.

That brought a loan spell with Peterborough United before joining Lincoln City, Shrewsbury and Weymouth from where he joined Exeter in January 2007.

Since joining The Grecians, Logan has made 34 appearances and scored 12 goals.

HISTORY looked likely to be repeated for Crystal Palace striker James Scowcroft, who suffered a recurrence of a hamstring problem this week.

The Stanton-based target man had to be stretchered off the field in the Eagles' 2-1 play-off semi-final first leg defeat against Bristol City at Selhurst Park on Saturday.

The incident was reminiscent of 2000 when Scowcroft suffered a similar injury in Ipswich Town's play-off contest against Bolton Wanderers. On that occasion, he agonisingly missed out on the Blues' final triumph against Barnsley at Wembley.

This time, however, the big number eight – ruled out for up to six weeks – will be joined by his team mates in missing out on playing at the famous stadium. Palace bowed out of the race for the final Premier League spot after losing the return leg 2-1 (4-2 on aggregate) at Ashton Gate on Tuesday.

FORMER Bury Town FC captain Ian Miller became the toast of Darlington after his last-gasp winner against Rochdale in the League Two Play-off semi-final first leg encounter on Saturday.

The central defender, who came on as a second-half substitute with the scores locked at 1-1, powered home an injury time header and is now 90 minutes away from Wembley.

The second leg takes place tomorrow at Rochdale's Spotland Stadium (ko noon).

The 24-year-old moved to Ipswich Town in 2006, before joining the Quakers on loan last season.

Miller continued his loan spell at the start of this season before sealing a permanent deal with the Darlington Arena-based club in January.
