RICHARD Wilkins is looking to his players to step up a gear when they travel to Wivenhoe tonight (ko 7.45pm).
The Bury Town FC chief saw his side have the majority of the possession against Thetford Town on Wednesday, but his strikers failed to make it count in a 1-1 draw at Mundford Road.

Sam Reed was the marksman for the Blues, but the other strikers drew blanks failing to finish off goalscoring opportunities.

"That part of the game was disappointing, we took too many passes and touches without making them count," said Wilkins.

"However, there were a lot of positives and I am now looking for the players to step up and earn a shirt for the start of the season," he added.
