Mildenhall 1st Xl played near-neighbours Exning in a pre-season friendly of 45 overs.
Mildenhall batted first and scored 175, following contributions from Richard Cross (32) and Chris Baugh (32no). This was supported by a more flamboyant 40 from Frannie Bester.

In response, Exning lost a quick wicket when James Holmes bowled Longfield. This brought in Richard Ford (12), who attempted to loft Mildenhall's new captain, Craig Andrews and was caught in the deep by Bester.

Matt Catley had reached 27 when he was deceived by a good delivery from Bester and was caught behind by wicketkeeper Karl Holmes. This signalled the beginning of the end for Exning, as James Holmes finished with a fine spell of five clean-bowled victims for 48.

The Exning innings closed on 138 leaving Mildenhall victors by 37 runs.
At Wamil Way, Mildenhall and Exning 2nd XIs played a 40-over pre-season warm-up match. Mildenhall batted first and totalled 200.

Mildenhall's top performances came from new skipper Steve Lankester (67) and Martin Taylor (50). Readman was the pick of the Exning bowling with 3-39.
