BRITISH Sugar B met West Row for the third time in an Area D match.
It was not to be third time lucky, as Sugar B lost by 21 shots as R Farrow's rink was Sugar's only success.

In league Division One, Sugar B played Coney Weston, losing by seven shots overall and gaining 1.5 points.

T Scott's home rink won by 12 shots in a match that was closely-contested until the 14th end when 12 shots were collected in the final five ends for a comfortable win.

Sugar's half-point came from R Farrow's rink, which fought off a late charge from Coney Weston to draw the match.

British Sugar A collected 4.5 points from Thetford Ex-Servicemen Club. B Millard's rink won comfortably, 22-4, and B Sier's rink won by four shots after being two shots down at the 15th end.

In EBA League Division One, British Sugar drew a blank, losing by 10 shots overall. Three rinks were not decided until the final end and K Clark's rink picked up five shots in the last two, but it was not enough to close the gap.

Bury and District League Division Two saw Great Barton visit British Sugar B and collect 5.5 valuable points.

Sugar's half-point came from the rink of R Farrow. The match was a close encounter with the first 10 ends even. However, Great Barton seized the match in the second half.

British Sugar A dropped valuable promotion points to Hopton, losing 67-74. They collected just two points thanks to H Moore's 10-shot rink victory and T Scott's rink winning 18-11.

In the Bury and District Shield, British Sugar A progressed to the next round at the expense of Thetford Ex-Service, winning 99-67.

Sugar won on three rinks with G Sweetman's 23-shot rink victory leading the way.

British Sugar Ladies' Four-Wood Singles competition was held on Sunday, with D Sier and J Ayling progressing to the final.

In the Bury and District League competitions, the British Sugar ladies' pair of M Asplen and B Finlayson lost 23-9 to St Botolphs BC.
