Bowls: Maximum puts Greene King into top spot

IN BURY and District Bowls League Division One, Greene King moved into the top spot after gaining maximum points at home against Tuddenham.
St Botolphs A dropped to second as they only managed one point in their home game with Walsham-le-Willows. Stanton are in third place, taking five points at home to West Row.

Division Two leaders Hengrave hosted runners-up Elmswell in a high-scoring game. Hengrave won 105-73 (5-1 points). The home rink of John Haydock, Carol Blowers and Martin Rumball won 39-6.

Pakenham did well to achieve a 5-1 victory away to Mildenhall.

In Division Three, British Sugar A lost 74-67 (4-2) away to Hopton, but remain at the top. Second-placed Barnham lost 67-86 (1-5) in their home game against Thetford Ex-Servicemen, who are in third place with a game in hand.
