Sugar A ran out 5-1 winners in a closely-contested match that was won by only seven shots.

H Moore's rink provided Sugar C with their only point in a 56-69 defeat. K Clark's rink provided British Sugar with their success, winning 17-10.

T Scott's rink staged a late fightback, picking up nine shots in the last four ends to cut the Risbygate lead to two shots.

The Bury and District League Division Two match between British Sugar B and Pakenham, provided a very close contest, with the result in doubt until the final few ends.

H McNeils' rink led throughout, winning by seven shots, while R Farrow's rink won by seven shots after a reshuffle resulted in victory in six of the last seven ends.

British Sugar were winners by nine shots overall, picking up four points.

In Division Three, Sugar A went to St Botolphs and returned with six points following a 90-63 victory. B Millard's rink led throughout to win 24-16 and G Sweetman's rink picked up nine shots in the final three ends to secure a 23-12 win.

In the individual competitions, P Caley and B Millard travelled to Hopton in the EBA Four-Wood Pairs and defeated J Taylor and J Hooper, 20-18.
