A GROUP of mums have proved that communities can make a difference with a special charity event.

The Parent and Toddler Group at Barnham Village Hall turned their usual morning activities into a Yummy Mummy charity event to raise money for child cancer cause Clic Sargent last Friday.

Laura Price, who helps run the group, organised the event in just two weeks with fellow mum Sam Lumley.

Laura said: “We have a lady here who has a child with cancer and it seemed like such a good cause.

“The turnout has been terrific and it’s nice to see everyone coming together from the village for something like this.”

The hall was filled with excited children and parents as face painting stalls and a play mat took centre stage.

Entrance was £1 each and, along with money from each of the stalls set up, all the cash will go to charity.
