A YOUNG pup cools down with its first taste of ice cream at the busy Ride for Life cycle at Thetford Forest.

Around 950 people took part in the event at Santon Downham on Sunday, raising money for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (Each).

It was the 19th year of the event which featured on and off-road challenges as well as walks.

There was also live music and an array of food stalls.

Claire Stannard, Each Norfolk fund-raiser, said: “We’re delighted with the success of this year’s event. Ride for Life is our biggest event of the year and has raised more than £750,000 for Each since it began. These funds provide care and support for life-threatened children across the region.”
