A charity which supports seriously ill children has benefitted from a donation of £700 from the Bury St Edmunds Women’s Guild of Friends.

The group which meets monthly on Monday afternoons at the Oddfellows Hall in Whiting Street raised the money last year from raffles and a charity auction held by chairman Pam Hart.

The group has 70 members from Bury and the surrounding area and meets on the fourth Monday of the month to hear guest speakers and enjoy a chat as well as enjoying a number of outings.

It was previously known as the Women’s Gas Federation.
