Woman approached by man on Bury St Edmunds’ Moreton Hall estate

Police want to talk to a man who approached a woman in Bury St Edmunds on Thursday.

It happened between 12.15pm and 12.30pm on the combined cycle/footpath in Mount Road, on Bury’s Moreton Hall estate.

The woman, in her early thirties, was walking into town with her daughter, when a cyclist overtook her and stopped ahead, waiting for her to catch up.

He then walked beside her, asking a series of personal questions, including her age, her child’s age and where she lived.

The woman tried to not engage with him and eventually he went away.

The man is described as Asian, in his early thirties, around 5ft 6in tall, of slim build, with short wavy black hair and a black moustache.

He was wearing a blue tracksuit top and denim jeans and had a black mountain bike.
