Woman accused of stealing thousands of pounds from Bury St Edmunds employer

A woman from Bury St Edmunds is accused of stealing tens of thousands of pounds from her employer.

Karen Ann Foster has been charged with four counts of theft by an employee and four counts of false accounting.

The alleged crimes took place between January 1, 2004, and December 3, last year.

It is alleged Foster falsified ledgers to show debit entries for goods or services provided and stole money, including sums of £40,450.21 and £33,354.76, belonging to EMG Motor Group, in Bury.

Foster, 51, of Andrews Walk, Bury, entered no plea at Bury St Edmunds Magistrates’ Court on Friday.

She was released on unconditional bail until July 30, when she is due to appear at Ipswich Crown Court.
