Wills help charities

A SOLICITOR’S from Stowmarket has raised £4,615 for charity through last November’s Will Aid scheme.

Haywards Solicitors offered its clients a basic will and asked them to make a donation to the scheme instead of paying the usual fees.

The money will be shared between ActionAid, Age UK, British Red Cross, Christian Aid, the NSPCC, Save the Children, SCIAF, Sightsavers and Trocaire.

The month-long campaign means that Haywards, which has taken part in Will Aid since 2006, has raised a total of £13,000 for charity.

Louise Goodenough, a partner, said: “It is fantastic that we have raised so much for such a good cause. Will Aid gives us the opportunity to give something back.”
