West Suffolk College is hosting a second open event this evening following its most successful open day ever on Saturday.

More than 400 potential students visited the college at the weekend to find out about its range of full time courses and apprenticeships.

There will be a second chance to visit the college tonight from 6pm until 8pm, where all questions about courses, apprenticeships and traineeships can be answered.

Head of Marketing and Communication, Yasmin Jeffery, said: “The Open Event on Saturday was fantastic – there was a great buzz about the place with live music and dance performances and plenty of demonstrations from all the different courses.

“We were thrilled to have our highest ever visitor numbers for an open day and delighted that many potential students decided to apply for their place on the spot.”

This evening’s event will be taking place at the College campus, Out Risbygate, Bury St Edmunds and at The Milburn Centre, Anglian Lane.

Students from the College’s performing arts school Conservatoire EAST will be putting on musical performances throughout both events.

There will also be mini pamper sessions to try provided by students on the hair and beauty courses and the Hospitality school will provide delicious food to try.
