A Facebook group which started as a means of reuniting a few old school friends has grown so much that it has now launched its own website.
The ‘We Love Bury St Edmunds’ Facebook group, a form of online nostalgia for people connected to the town, has seen its membership swell to more than 13,000 people in just 10 months.
But, recognising that ‘the whole world’s not on Facebook’, the group’s founder James Sheen decided to develop a website in order to allow even more people to reconnect.
Working with Bury-based Logic Design and Consultancy Mr Sheen has now realised his ambition and a website, seven months in the making, is expected to be fully operational by Monday.
