FRIENDS will take on a Royal challenge next month when they trek from Bury St Edmunds to Buckingham Palace for charity.

Jess Darnell and Lucy Newell, owners of The Coffee House on Moreton Hall, will be joined by staff and customers during their 84-mile journey to raise funds for St Nicholas Hospice Care’s Accumulator Challenge.

Setting off from the hospice on September 4, the group will travel through Essex and arrive in London three days later.

“It’s something difficult and scarey for us but it’s nothing compared to what people at the hospice are going through,” said Mrs Darnell.

“We’re all going to support each other and have a great time doing it - we’re going to take inspiration from Team GB,” said Miss Newell.
