A talented teenage harpist is joining forces with a Suffolk ladies choir next week for a concert in Bury St Edmunds.
Imogen Ridge, 19, will be performing with the Aquarius Singers for a night of harp and vocal music in All Saints Church on Saturday, October 17.
The young virtuoso, from Ousden, has been playing harp since the age of 12. She currently studies at the Junior Royal Academy of Music and is preparing for her conservatoire auditions in London and Manchester.
Earlier this year Imogen was among ten young harp students to be selected for the prestigious International HarpMasters Academy in Switzerland.
As well as solo pieces for harp, the Aquarius Singers, directed by Gill Garside, will perform lighter pieces from their broad repertoire including music from Bill Chilcott, Sting and Morten Laurisden.
They will also perform some pieces accompanied by the harp including Eric Whitacre’s The Seal Lullaby.
Tickets are £8 for adults and £5 for children and are available from Balaams Music Shop or on the door.
