A woman has this morning (Friday) been arrested in connection with an incident in Bury St Edmunds which has left a man in a life-threatening condition in hospital.
Police were contacted shortly before 4:30pm on Monday September 8 following reports a man had fallen from a flat balcony in Anselm Avenue.
Officers arrived and found a 50-year-old local man with multiple serious injuries.
He was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge by paramedics and remains there in a critical, life-threatening condition.
This morning a 40-year-old woman from Bury was arrested at her home address and is currently being questioned by detectives at the town’s police investigation centre.
