UPDATE: Three teenagers arrested in connection with vehicle thefts in Thetford

Three teenagers from Thetford have been arrested in connection with a number of thefts from motor vehicles in the town over the New Year weekend.

Six vehicles were targeted overnight between Saturday, January 2 and Sunday, January 3.

Thieves got into two cars, in Castleford Close - stealing a Garmin Sat Nav and a printer from a Ford Transit van and a stereo from a Ford Fiesta.

In Prior Stephen Way, they snatched a Tom Tom Sat Nav, CDs, a stereo and a USB stick from a Ford Fiesta and broke into a Ford Transit but didn’t steal anything.

Thieves also broke into a Renault Clio, in St Martins Way, and took a Tom Tom Sat Nav, a Pioneer CD player and documents. They also got into a Nissan Micra but nothing appears to have been stolen.

Two males, aged 15 and 16, were arrested on suspicion of theft.

Another male, aged 17, was arrested on suspicion of theft, handling stolen goods and going equipped.

They were taken to Bury Police Investigation Centre and have been bailed until Tuesday, February 9.
