Two thefts in same street linked by police

A burglary, in which a car and electronics were stolen, is being linked to a theft from car which took place in the same street on the same night.

A car and electronics have been stolen during a burglary in Mildenhall.

A property in St Helena Walk was entered by an insecure back door between midnight and 5am on January 26.

Items including an Apple iPhone 5, a Samsung Galaxy S3, a Kindle Fire, a Toshiba tablet and laptop, a Michael Kors watch and a grey Jack Wolfskin jacket were stolen.

The keys to a BMW 320 were also taken and the car was stolen from the driveway.

The vehicle, along with some other possessions belonging to the victim, was found later the same day.

The car was found in Downing Close at 3pm. A car seat and handbag were recovered in St Catherines Close.

Police have linked the theft to a second that took place in St Helena Walk on the same night, where an insecure Fiat Punto was entered and a Tom Tom sat nav stolen.
