Two people were trapped in a vehicle for more than an hour following a road traffic collision between Thurston and Rougham.
The incident involved a silver BMW saloon and a dark green Suzuki Wagon R at Fishwick Corner crossroads at about 12.30pm, according to the Suffolk Accident Rescue Service charity, which mobilised a volunteer doctor to the scene.
The Suzuki came to rest on its side and the driver in his 60s and a male passenger in his 80s were trapped in the vehicle for just over an hour.
A spokesman said: “They were eventually released after the roof of the vehicle was removed by the Fire and Rescue Service.
“The two occupants were taken in separate ambulances to West Suffolk Hospital in Bury St Edmunds but their injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
“The driver of the BMW and his two passengers were uninjured.”
