Two men killed in separate collisions in Barningham and Garboldisham

Two men have died in separate road traffic collisions in Barningham and Garboldisham yesterday.

A man, in his 50s, was killed after the silver MG car he was driving left the B1111, Hopton Road, and collided with a garden wall at about 2pm.

He was taken to West Suffolk Hospital, in Bury St Edmunds, where he was pronounced deceased.

Meanwhile, at about 5.15pm a member of the public found a male motorcyclist in a ditch on the B1111, close to the junction of the A1066.

The man, in his 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene and his blue Yamaha motorbike was found nearby.

The road was closed to allow emergency services to carry out initial investigations into the incident with diversions put in place. The road blocks were lifted at about 8.15pm.
